We don’t often talk about stats. They are really pretty useless. They can make people act wierd and start worrying about and pursuing numbers. And it’s not about numbers, it’s about sharing your story and your heart and trying to teach what you know so that others can benefit. Either you are doing what you are called to do, or not. Write what you are passionate about, what is in your heart, or don’t. I think we should!
This speaks to me tonight: How to Can Green Beans: Canning Tips — 19,043 hits
I just offered that post one day when I was canning, trying to record the steps carefully knowing several close friends who have asked me how.
And, I thought to myself tonight…maybe…maybe, when you just write about what you know, even if you don’t know it all…you can relate to people.
If we decide to just tell people about what we do know, if they are seeking that information, or if we compel them TO SEEK–we may not be able to answer EVERY question, but we can keep them going, and perhaps get them to the next step, or give them the encouragement they need.
What if…in the same way, we all shared the practical nature of our spirituality…of our walk with a God would is real, who meets our very real needs, who meets us where we are…every day?
What if we all wrote posts with very clear post titles like “My Day with Jesus Today” or some other relevant search line…what might happen? I figure if 20,000 people are searching for how to can green beans, well, I just reckon there are many more who are seeking real life through Jesus Christ.
If you decide to try it, be sure to use tags and categories…it will help both google and wordpress searchers find your postings. Use these three commonly searched for related tags and categories, and DO BOTH tags and categories: “spirituality, faith, Christianity”.
Be bold…try it as you are led.
